It's BBQ time! I will post a few BBQ recipes tomorrow morning that I like. A while ago, we invited friends round for a curry fest and this dish was one of the starters. It's easy to prepare ahead of time and chill ready for the coals. I found the mix on the internet so will post the details. The kebabs are great with salad and pitta bread and minted yoghurt. I might try it with tofu........

Ingredients - enough for a small crowd
1 kilo beef or lamb mince bashed into a paste
1 large onion finely diced and crushed
4 red chillies, deseeded, finely diced and crushed
1 - 2 tbsp of ghee or butter
1 bag of Laziza shish kebab masala - or similar.
Method
Mix together mincemeat, spice mix, onion, chilli.
Leave to mature for 2-3 hours.
Add the ghee or butter and mix thoroughly.
Make small meatballs.
Thread each meatball onto a skewer and with a wet hand mould it tightly around the skewer.
Cook the kebabs on a medium heat until cooked through
Eat with salad, chutney, lime pickle and minted yoghurt.
